The short version
- Previews are free. You only pay if you decide to keep your website.
- Changed your mind? Ask within 30 days of a yearly payment, or of your first monthly payment, and we'll refund it in full.
- Cancel any time by emailing Max. There's no fee, and you won't be charged again.
- After those 30 days, payments aren't refunded, but your site stays up until the end of the time you paid for.
Free previews
We build preview websites at our own cost. Looking at yours is free, and you're never charged unless you choose a plan and pay on Stripe's secure payment page. There's nothing to refund or cancel for a preview. If you don't want it, just tell us and we'll take it down.
30-day money back
We want you to be glad you said yes. You can get a full refund if you ask within 30 days of:
- any yearly payment, including a yearly renewal, or
- your first monthly payment.
To ask, email max@getfrontdoorsites.com or reply to any email from Max. You don't need to give a reason. We refund the whole payment to the card you paid with. A refunded plan ends when the refund is made, and the website is taken offline then.
Monthly payments after your first one aren't refundable, because you can cancel any time before the next one.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time, for any reason. Email max@getfrontdoorsites.com or reply to any email from Max and say you'd like to cancel. Max confirms by email, usually within a day.
- Your plan stops renewing right away, and you won't be charged again.
- Your website stays up until the end of the month or year you've already paid for. Then we take it offline.
- There are no cancellation fees.
- Outside the 30-day money-back window, cancelling doesn't refund the rest of the current month or year.
- Want to keep your site? Ask, and Max will send you a copy of your website's files for free, so you can host it anywhere.
- If you own your web address (domain), it stays yours. We'll explain how to point it somewhere else.
Renewals and reminders
Plans renew automatically until you cancel: monthly plans every month, and yearly plans every year, charged to the card on file. Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment.
Before a yearly plan renews, we email you a reminder at least 7 days ahead with the date and the amount, so you have time to cancel if you want to.
Price changes
If our prices ever change, we'll email you at least 30 days before you're charged the new price. You can cancel before then and you won't pay it.
If a payment fails
If your card is declined, Stripe tries again over the following days and emails you a secure link to update your card. There are no late fees. If the payment still hasn't gone through 14 days after Stripe's last try, the plan is treated as cancelled and the website is taken offline.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. Most banks show a refund within 5 to 10 business days. Our charges appear on card statements as FRONT DOOR SITES.
Questions about a charge
If a charge looks wrong, please email us before you contact your bank. We'll look into it right away, and it's usually much faster than a bank dispute.
Extra work
This policy covers the Website Plan. If you ever ask for extra paid work, like a logo or extra pages, we'll tell you the price and how refunds work for it before you say yes. Nothing is added to your bill without your yes.
